Although I’ve been absent, my obsession with Martha Stewart continues. Seriously, she’s my hero. I’m a firm believer that everyone has something to offer, and despite how much of an expert you are at one thing (or many), you can always learn something from someone else… who knows? It could be easier, more efficient, less costly… better. Anyway, here is Martha’s Party Planning Guide. You party planners out there may roll your eyes & tell yourselves “I know this already,” and you novice planners may think it’s the best thing ever. All I know is there’s no harm in seeing how Martha does it, and adding to it, if you need to.
If you know this song, congratulations. I love it. If you haven’t, you must listen to it. It is a definite wedding song. “What are you doing for the rest of your life? If you believe in destiny, then how can you not see that I’ll be with you for the rest of your life? Someday you will realize that we are meant to be.”
Have you seen this movie? I think it has got to be one of my all-time favorite romantic comedies ever. Why so much? Well, I like that Jimmy Fallon’s character is a die-hard Red Sox fan. I’m not a Red Sox fan, but I know what it’s like to be a die-hard fan, or being overly obsessed with something… makes me feel normal. I also like the fact that when they first met, they mention their “secret shame” of transforming numbers into other things, which I do too… I’m weird like that. But I love, love, love the fact that he takes care of her during their “first date.” So cute. Here’s my one of my favorite scenes from the movie.
If you haven’t seen it yet, please check it out. It’s cute.
Another one of my favorites from my teenage years. Jewel… sometimes you just know when you’re meant to be with them. It may take longer than some, but they say “when you know, you know.”
Love this color palette featured in the current issue of Martha Stewart Weddings (Fall 2011). It’s definitely something different, yet there’s also something classic about it. Chartreuse, plum, and aqua kind of get me excited individually, so you can imagine all the oohs & aahs coming out of my mouth as I saw the photos featuring these three colors TOGETHER.
