If you know this song, congratulations. I love it. If you haven’t, you must listen to it. It is a definite wedding song. “What are you doing for the rest of your life? If you believe in destiny, then how can you not see that I’ll be with you for the rest of your life? Someday you will realize that we are meant to be.”
Have you seen this movie? I think it has got to be one of my all-time favorite romantic comedies ever. Why so much? Well, I like that Jimmy Fallon’s character is a die-hard Red Sox fan. I’m not a Red Sox fan, but I know what it’s like to be a die-hard fan, or being overly obsessed with something… makes me feel normal. I also like the fact that when they first met, they mention their “secret shame” of transforming numbers into other things, which I do too… I’m weird like that. But I love, love, love the fact that he takes care of her during their “first date.” So cute. Here’s my one of my favorite scenes from the movie.
If you haven’t seen it yet, please check it out. It’s cute.
Another one of my favorites from my teenage years. Jewel… sometimes you just know when you’re meant to be with them. It may take longer than some, but they say “when you know, you know.”
Not only music inspiration, but “couple” inspiration. I think they’re one of those adorable Hollywood {or in this case, country} couples that look so good together. I love that they did this song together.
“And who I am now is who I wanted to be. & now that we’re together I’m stronger than ever. I’m happy & clean. Oh, it’s a beautiful thing. I don’t think I can keep it all in. And if you ask me why I changed, all I have to do is say your sweet name. It’s your love. It just does something to me. It sends a shock right through me. I can’t get enough. And if you wonder about the spell I’m under. Oh, it’s your love.”
I have a girl crush on Norah Jones simply because of her voice. I melt when I hear it. I remember the first time I heard Don’t Know Why. I remember hearing it & asking “who was that?” Well, this song does it for me too. It’s bluesy and mellow.
“And I want to wake up with the rain falling on the tin roof while I’m safe there in your arms, so all I ask is for you to come away with me in the night. Come away with me.”
