Love this color palette featured in the current issue of Martha Stewart Weddings (Fall 2011). It’s definitely something different, yet there’s also something classic about it. Chartreuse, plum, and aqua kind of get me excited individually, so you can imagine all the oohs & aahs coming out of my mouth as I saw the photos featuring these three colors TOGETHER.

My mouth hit the floor when I watched this video. It’s funny because I was just talking about how one of my “dream” jobs a few years ago was to paint store windows because I always find myself admiring how “precise” the lettering is. I even go as far as to try & practice the strokes on my thighs, imagining that I am doing it perfectly. I stare in awe at the Jamba Juice menu, or any menu for that matter, that has perfect chalk lettering. Don’t you get amazed too? Well, now I officially have a girl crush on Dana Tanamachi. Seriously. I’m sure you’ve seen her work somewhere or other, and if not, you have to see it now.

Ugh. I tried watching this video in “slow motion” (meaning, I paused every 2 seconds & went back & forth between 0:06 & 0:12 at least 5 times to get & before & after effect). I know, I know. It’s inspiring, so you can probably watch this video over & over, as I did (& will). I won’t judge you.
Here are some inspirational photos from Martha Stewart to get you inspired for Cinco de Mayo. Plus, the ingredients to Martha’s “Classic Mexican Guacamole,” which was inspired by the tableside version prepared at Rosa Mexicano. All I have to say is yummmm.

Want more inspiration? I have a couple of previous posts that will definitely get you inspired with color palettes & “margaritas galore“. Yowza!

Very much inspired by the rasta color palette today. I think the color combo makes me excited for summer even more though. Whether it’s Bob Marley’s “One Love” message, his calming & inspiring music, or the just the style that embodies “rasta,” I’m digging it… or as my son would say “I’m down on that” instead of “I’m down for that.”
P.S. My son is turning eight this summer, and he wants a rasta-themed birthday party. Eight!? We had a UFC/MMA party for him last year {remember the fight poster invitations I made for him?} Well, this birthday is going to be jammin’.
