As you might have heard, last Thursday marked a historical day in California as Prop 8 was overturned.  In a spontaneous moment of excitement, Pink Cloud Events decided to celebrate this decision with a $10,000 Prop 8 Wedding Giveaway to one deserving couple who had the most memorable story of how they embodied the modern day romance. 

Since the contest’s commencement on August 4th, we’ve received an overwhelming response from some of LA’s best sustainable wedding vendors and are excited that the prize package has grown to $50,000 worth of wedding services.

We can’t wait to start planning the lucky couple’s beautiful wedding, but need your help in spreading the word to your readers as the contest deadline quickly approaches on August 18th.

Here’s how it works:
1. Contestants must submit a YouTube video (3 minutes MAX) explaining their modern day romance and link it to @pinkcloud #pinkcloud on Twitter for consideration.
2. The deadline for all video submissions ends on August 18th, 2010 at 11:59PM.
3. The public will be able to cast their votes on YouTube for their favorites by “liking” the videos they love.  Public voting closes on August 31, 2010 at 11:59PM.
4. The top 5 “liked” videos will then be in the final running for the grand prize and will be chosen and announces by Pink Cloud Events on September 1, 2010.
